First dual-immersion program a success so far |

I talked to kids and parents at River Road/El Camino del Rio Elementary School today. It's the first dual-immersion program in our area. Many schools are struggling to teach non-English-speaking students. Not El Camino.

Students spend half the day learning in English and the other half learning in Spanish.

I asked a 7-year-old native-English speaking girl if she ever gets frustrated during the Spanish part of the day. She said she did at first, but that it's getting easier.
